The New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) has issued an update regarding the disposal of automotive pyrotechnics according to the VIA.
Since 2018, our military has offered a service for the removal and disposal of pyrotechnics found in cars like airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and warning flares.
Contact information for assistance has now changed for those who require assistance in disposing of the explosive items.
All requests for NZDF assistance must now be emailed to: david.mcateer@nzdf.mil.nz
