The next-generation of people movers is here according to LDV which just unveiled its new MIFA multi purpose vehicle.
Comfort, convenience, and space were the three key areas the brand took into consideration when developing the van with it setting out to ‘disrupt’ the people mover segment.
The local NZ MIFA launch is happening next week.
Futuristic styling
Up front, the people mover is characterised by its bold and ‘futuristic’ styling with two slim headlights flanking a large grille.
The rear end is much the same with a sharp tail light design helping it stand out from your typical box on wheels.
Black, white, red, blue or grey colours are available alongside an accented black roof. A choice of 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels feature on the Executive and Luxe variants.
Spacious and plush interior
Inside the MIFA, a 2-2-3 seating arrangement allows for plenty of room and central aisle access while an eight-seat model will be available too.
A black leather appointed interior adjoins four-way electrically adjustable seats which can be accessed via the electric dual-sliding rear doors, depending on which trim level you opt for.
A sliding and folding third row also features, maximising rear cargo space which can be accessed via the electric tailgate.
The interior has also been fitted with fold-out tray tables, footrests, seven USB ports, the choice of 64 ambient lighting colours (Luxe model only), and wired Apple CarPlay. Other options include a multi-function heated steering wheel, digital rear view mirror, and wireless device charging pad.
Driver data is displayed on a 7-inch digital screen while infotainment can be accessed via the central 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Powertrain
Under the bonnet of the LDV MIFA is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which provides 160kW of power and 360Nm of torque to the front wheels. Gearing is handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There is also an all electric version that will be available in NZ.
Pricing and model variant information for our market will be available next week.
